The Aeronautical Robotics Automation Laboratory (LARA), was inaugurated on the morning of this Tuesday, 08/27/2019. The Hawk Geo company's premises are located at the Ufam Business and Technological Development Center (CDTECH), a sector aimed at supporting companies focused on advanced technologies.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the rector of Ufam, Professor Sylvio Puga, who highlighted the importance of CDTECH and the possibility of the newly opened Laboratory helping the University's initiatives to fight fires in the Amazon. “The University, in a concrete action, the result of a research experience, in partnership with the private sector, today inaugurates this laboratory, which is available not only to local society but also to the whole of Brazil. So that you have an idea of the importance of this new laboratory, I want to share with you that I received, earlier, a message from the Ministry of Education (MEC) requesting the University's initiatives to fight fires in the Amazon and I had the great satisfaction of answering that the The opening of this laboratory at our University will be able to help a lot in this mission, since we have already experienced the potential of the Hawk Geo company in the aerial surveillance system of our University”, said the manager.
CDTECH's director, Professor Luiz Roberto Nascimento, highlights CDTECH's mission to support companies focused on advanced technologies. “We are currently welcoming Hawk Geo and its laboratory Lara, of aeronautical robotics, so that, in the near future, we will have a market for services in the use of drones and even start producing these equipment. If this happens, we will certainly be promoting regional development and, at the same time, supporting entrepreneurship”, said the director.

Foi inaugurado, na manhã desta terça-feira, 27/08/2019, o Laboratório de Automação Robótica Aeronáutica (LARA). O recinto da empresa Hawk Geo está instalado no Centro de Desenvolvimento Empresarial e Tecnológico da Ufam (CDTECH), setor voltado a dar suporte a empresas com foco em tecnologias avançadas.
A solenidade de inauguração foi presidida pelo reitor da Ufam, professor Sylvio Puga, o qual destacou a importância do CDTECH e a possibilidade de o Laboratório recém-inaugurado auxiliar as iniciativas da Universidade no combate aos incêndios na Amazônia. “A Universidade, numa ação concreta, fruto de uma experiência de pesquisa, em parceria com a iniciativa privada, inaugura hoje esse laboratório, que está à disposição não somente da sociedade local como também de todo o Brasil. Para que vocês tenham ideia da importância deste novo laboratório, quero compartilhar com os senhores que recebi, mais cedo, mensagem do Ministério da Educação (MEC) solicitando as iniciativas da Universidade no combate aos incêndios na Amazônia e tive a grande satisfação de responder que a inauguração deste laboratório em nossa Universidade poderá auxiliar bastante nessa missão, vez que já experimentamos o potencial da empresa Hawk Geo no sistema de vigilância aérea de nossa Universidade”, discursou o gestor.
O diretor do CDTECH, professor Luiz Roberto Nascimento, ressalta a missão do CDTECH de dar suporte a empresas com foco em tecnologias avançadas. “Neste momento estamos acolhendo a Hawk Geo e seu laboratório Lara, de robótica aeronáutica para, no futuro próximo, termos um mercado de serviços no uso de drones e até mesmo passarmos a produzir esses equipamentos. Isto vindo acontecer, certamente, estaremos promovendo o desenvolvimento regional e apoiando, ao mesmo tempo, a empresariedade”, ressaltou o diretor.
